A UC Santa Cruz alumnus (2000, Literature, Kresge College), David is a real estate agent serving Santa Cruz County from Scotts Valley along the coast through La Selva Beach. He served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Long Marine Lab at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center.
