The Science Division is supported by several standing committees that help guide our programs, support our community, and advance our mission. Learn more about each committee and how to get in touch.

Student Committees

Graduate Advisory Council
The Science Graduate Advisory Council provides a forum for graduate students from each divisional program to share their perspectives on departmental and campus matters. The council meets each quarter with the dean to support open dialogue.

Other Committees

DEI Committee
The Science Division’s DEI Committee is a rotating group of undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, and faculty currently led by Pedro Morales-Almazan.

The Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion works to identify and address systemic bias within the Science Division. The committee proposes actionable steps to promote equity and inclusion in areas such as teaching, mentoring, hiring, and community-building, and serves as a coordinating body for DEI efforts across the division. It also reviews incidents of bias and provides an annual report on progress toward a more inclusive academic environment.
