A UC Santa Cruz alumna with BAs in Biology and Environmental Studies, Rachael spent the bulk of her career in the mortgage industry, owning and operating Santa Cruz Mortgage. She has served as an elected Cabrillo College trustee since 2003. She is a former member of Friends of Long Marine Lab Board 2006-14, donor to PBSci, co-founder (with Peggy Downes-Baskin in 1997) of the Women’s Educational Success program at Cabrillo College, a board trustee for the Davenport/North Coast Association, and a member of the Tannery Arts Center’s Performing Arts Center Honorary Committee.
