Undergraduate Research in Science & Technology Awards (URST)
Award Amount: Up to $4,500
This research grant supports undergraduate research projects in fields related to science and technology. Students from any undergraduate major at UC Santa Cruz can apply. This application period is for research projects beginning summer quarter 2023 or fall quarter 2023.

Kathryn D. Sullivan Research Impact Award in Earth & Marine Sciences
Award Amount: Up to $17,000
This program supports summer research projects in earth and planetary sciences, microbiology and environmental toxicology, ecology and evolutionary biology, chemistry, or related disciplines. Research teams must comprise one undergraduate and one graduate student mentor, and the project must address important problems in the chosen discipline. The project must be well planned and integrated across the team members, and the proposal must include a clear explanation of what each member brings to the project.

Gunderson Family Student Research in Coastal Sustainability Summer Award
Award Amount: Up to $2,500
An award for undergraduate students engaging in coastal sustainability research during the summer at UC Santa Cruz.
